BUMBLEBRUSH Privacy Policy

BUMBLEBRUSH is a toothbrushing app for children aged 2 to 8, published by Bumble Brush LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices parents have. The short version: the app works with no account at all, collects nothing from children, shows no ads and contains no tracking or analytics.
Children
BUMBLEBRUSH is directed to children under 13. We do not collect personal information from children. We never ask for or store a child's name, age, birthdate, photo, voice or location. Accounts can only be created by a parent or guardian, and every account screen, setting, purchase and outside link sits behind a parental gate.
Using the app without an account
By default the app runs in guest mode. Brushing sessions, badges and streaks are stored only on the device. Nothing is sent to us.
If a parent creates an account
A parent may create an optional family account so progress moves to a new phone and friends can compare streaks. We then store:
- the parent's email address and a password (stored hashed), used for sign-in and account recovery;
- for each child profile: a username the parent chooses (for friend matching, not a real name), a picture chosen from the app's built-in avatars, a colour theme, and whether friends are switched on;
- brushing sessions, badges and streaks for each child profile.
Friends are added by exact username only, both sides must accept, and the only thing shared between friends is the username and streak number. There is no chat, no messages, no photos and no free text visible to other users.
Subscriptions
If the app offers a subscription, payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see card details. We receive only whether the household's subscription is active, through our subscription provider RevenueCat.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.
Where data is kept
Account data is stored with our hosting provider Supabase in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Only we can access it, and only to run the app.
Notifications
A parent can switch on a daily brushing reminder. Reminders are scheduled on the device; no reminder content is sent to us.
Parents' rights and deleting data
Parents can review and change their children's profiles in the app at any time. Settings, Delete account removes the account, every child profile and all brushing history permanently. You can also email support@bumblebrush.com and we will delete the account within 30 days. Guest-mode data is removed by deleting the app. Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), parents may also ask us to stop any further use of their child's information; because we collect none, there is nothing further to stop, but we will answer any request.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell parents in the app before the change applies.
